This story behind this piece is interesting. It began as a bull, but I quickly saw the buffalo appearing before me - so I just went with it. The end result is a painting created using a unique blend of traditional brush strokes and splatter paint. I think it's a vibrant and dynamic composition. The splatter paint adds energy and movement, while the traditional brushstrokes provide structure and definition to the bison’s form.

The colors range from rich earth tones to bright, eye-catching hues, blending together so that he seems partially camouflaged. Personally, I think the bison looks as if it’s about to walk right off the canvas. The watercolor medium adds a soft, dreamy quality, giving the painting a sense of lightness and airiness despite the bold and colorful subject matter.
