Letting Go

Recently, I spoke to a young lady (who had been an abuser of substances and, as such, had allowed herself to be abused for years). She told me letting go all the past hurts and the decisions that got her to the dark places in her life allowed her to see a glimmer of hope. Tears of pain and relief and grief and happiness poured down her face as we talked. It was hauntingly beautiful.
