There are few things in this world that 'speaks' of freedom without having to utter a single word - an eagle soaring over a mountainous horizon are two of these.

Experimenting with styles and types of paint sometimes produces surprising results. That's what happened with this painting. I was simply, almost absentmindedly, swishing back and forth, applying different shades of colors... when I 'saw it.' The mountains became real structures, the sun was next and popped up, then the brief, scattered clouds - barely visible in the orange-peach colored sky.

Finally, the Eagle - that magnificent predator that is also a fierce protector of its family - appeared... it's wings spread out... floating on the wind... ever watchful but calm and confident in it's strength.
