Father Daughter - Walking

This painting holds a special place in my heart. In it I wanted to capture the deep bond between a father and his daughter, a relationship filled with closeness, affection, and enduring love. To me, there are few experiences more impactful than the time a dad spends with his children.

The abstract shapes and vibrant hues in the background symbolize the journey of life they have lived together - the nearly magical days of childhood; turbulent teenage years; and the day when the father gives her to another in hopes his love and protection will be modeled by her 'forever partner.' 

Creating this piece was both an emotional and rewarding experience. It serves as a reminder of the precious moments we share with our loved ones and the memories we create along the way. 

On a personal note, I hope I never miss the chance to make memories with my daughter. This painting is a testament to the love and time we have with our children, and it reminds me to cherish every moment. While it was encouraging to reflect on the blessings of having a daughter who loves me, it was also a bit devastating to think about the passage of time and the inevitability of change.
