Goodness (αγαθωσυνη) is the desire we have to stay away from every appearance of evil while treating others as if they are ourselves. Goodness also implies a moral decency and generosity in treating others as if they are exceptional. In this way, it's connected to the so-called 'Golden Rule' and is modeled throughout the Scriptures by Jesus.

Sometimes, if we're going to 'do good' by and/or for others, we have to tell (and show) them things they need to know (and follow). Often this information is considered judgment from/by us which is why (I think) 'goodness' is bordered by 'kindness' and 'faith' because with both of these, our witness will be consistent.

Galatians 5:22-23 "But the fruit of the Spirit is love, joy, peace, patience, kindness, goodness, faithfulness,gentleness, self-control; against such things there is no law." (NASB)
