This quote from Dr. Seuss was on my mind when I started this painting. As I worked on it, I found myself creating something that feels like a blend of impressionism and abstraction—maybe ‘abstractnistic’ is the right word for it!

In this piece, I wanted to capture the essence of a passionate, emotional, and spiritual bond. The figures are enveloped in flames that start as a red-hot passion and cool to a steady, eternal warmth. It’s like their love is a constant, unending source of energy that keeps them going.

Even with chaos swirling around them, the lovers hold on to each other, barely noticing the turmoil because their love acts as a shield against it all. I hope when you look at this painting, you can feel that same sense of enduring love and connection.
