Fluttery Flowers

Sometimes, when I pick up my brush, it’s like the colors are just dancing around in my mind, waiting to leap onto the canvas. Take this piece here; it’s a little like capturing a bit of that dance. The butterflies, they’re not just insects to me; they’re like these delicate winged creatures that embody freedom and grace. And the flowers? They’re not stationary at all – they seem to move with life, bursting in pinks and oranges and yellows against a backdrop that’s got all the warmth of a sunlit day.

I’ve always been drawn to how light plays with color, how it can transform something simple into something extraordinary. In this painting, I tried to let each stroke of color tell its own story, blending and swirling together until they sing. It’s almost as if you can see the breeze gently nudging the petals and wings.

It’s funny how a dab of paint here and there can evoke so much feeling – at least that’s what I aim for. Maybe it’s the way those blues and purples contrast with the warmth around them or how each brushstroke adds depth and texture. It’s meant to be more than just something pretty; it’s supposed to make you feel something… hopefully something good.
