Haunted Forest or Romantic Night?

Just outside our property there are some crazy incredible trees that almost seem to be alive when it gets close to dusk - especially in the Fall - when their leaves begin tumbling to the ground. I think it’s fascinating how the same scene can evoke such different emotions depending on the time of day and the experiences we bring to it.

During a romantic picnic, the trees might feel like gentle guardians, their branches creating a cozy canopy that whispers of love and warmth. But when the sun dips below the horizon and the shadows lengthen, those same trees can take on a more mysterious, almost eerie presence. 

I don't have to imagine the thrill of adventure you feel when walking your dog, with the hoots of owls and the calls of coyotes adding to the atmosphere because I've lived it. The interplay of light and shadow, especially under the moonlight, can transform the trees into something out of a fairy tale or a suspenseful story. It’s this duality that makes nature so captivating and endlessly inspiring for art.
