Dandelions, those whimsical blooms I blew on as a child, inspired this piece. My brothers and sisters called the white wisps caught on the wind 'wishes.' I don't recall which of our wishes coming true but that's not the reason I remember them. It was the thrill of chasing those wishes, all of us giddy and laughing, I remember most.

One day, I saw a dandelion covered with dew. The way the light reflected off of it, it looked as though it were sprinkled with multi-colored glitter.
